AT&T Censors Pearl Jam
A look at net neutrality and AT&T.
We must ask: This is the company that want to be left alone to run the Internet as it sees fit? The corporate officials of AT&T like to give speeches and to tell the FCC and Congress that they won’t block people’s access to content. They made that promise when they bought BellSouth for $80 billion last year. Former AT&T CEO Ed Whitacre made it in a speech last March.

The paper does stand by the assertion that the NSA Program exists and the AT&T and possible MCI participated. I’m gonna sound a little Red State here but MSM has been VERY sloppy lately.

Weeks ago, when the story of the collaboration of Verizon, Bellsouth and AT&T with the National Security Agency in creating a gigantic database to compile information for the government about who tens of millions of Americans are talking to in private telephone conversations, the Senate promised to hold hearings to investigate the matter. Later, after Vice President Cheney met with Senate Republicans demanding that the White House not be investigated, the Senate’s plans for hearings were dropped.

Welcome To AT&T Wireless?
If you blog about phones, submit your post to Blog Carnival using the submit button at the top of the left column.when at&t sold at&t wireless to cingular they were allowed to keep the at&t wireless name and now that the new at&t owns 60% of cingular i’d imagine they would use it to offer a bundle of services and slap the at&t brand on every single one of them but still have part of it as their cingular company. not a bad idea because people get confused when they think about having a bundle of SBC, DISHNetwork and Cingular products.
