This is why I got an Otterbox Armor iPhone case. This case is the Sherman tank of iPhone cases. It opens with two sturdy latches. Inside is a stereo plug that slides into your iPhone and a rubber grip to hold it snug.

So the other night, I’m lying in bed checking the hours of the library on my iPhone. Mike was getting ready to listen to his iPod. He put his headphones in and said, “I won’t be able to hear you starting now. These headphones are noise-canceling.”

A recently conducted survey by Markitecture discussed here at Mobility Today provided some interesting insight into the smartphone wars that are about to begin (or in some cases are already at large). In actual fact the results that 6% of those surveyed would buy an iPhone was imho not a surprise and I'm not sure that this necessarily directly correlates to market share. If you follow the link through to the source at MacWorld there is an arrogant quote by Steve Ballmer about iPhone not getting market share - given how widely Microsoft missed the web boat, can they really afford to be this arrogant in another emerging market.

Amidst all the hubbub this week, including a plethora of new iPods, public relations moves that were strokes of genius and more media coverage than the latest flashing of naughty bits of Britney Lohalton, there is one item conspicuously missing: the 16gb iPhone.

Surely, htc touch PDAs do make my wife’s work more organized since the nature of her work are on educating the young consumer at school that requires outstations, and lots of talks elsewhere. Her packed scheduled have been much more organized with this new htc touch PDA.

I’m walking along Carlton Street, iPhone in hand, looking for free WiFi (oooo! Days Inn has a big access point!), when someone approaches me.

My family and I went shopping at the mall yesterday and after a few hours of going from clothing store to clothing store I escaped momentarily into a nearby Radio Shack. The manager was really friendly and happened to be talking about the iPhone with another customer. They ware talking about the neat features and how they didn’t have to wait in line to get one. It surprised me because the phone came out yesterday and the news had said there were going to be lines of people outside the AT&T stores waiting to get one.

Having used my iPhone now for a decent amount of time I wanted to share some of the apparent short comings and many of its amazing features as it relates to real use in the field.

LG KE850 Prada Phone is a small and light device. Its dimensions are 3.9″ x 2.1″ x .5″, it weighs a mere 3 ounces, so I think that we can compare the device with the Apple iPhone, wich weighs over 50% more. But, the Prada phone has a number of real off-screen buttons and controls. The call control and the back keys are placed on the front of the phone, on the right edge you can find a lock key and a multi-function camera/music key, and on the left edge is the ring profiles key, volume control, and the charger/headset port.

Well my friends, 48 hours after starting this journey, I’m thrilled to report that at 9:02 PM (while I was on hold with AT&T business services no less) I received an e-mail from the iTunes store informing me that my iPhone activation was now complete. Wooo Hooo!!!

With the announcement of the Sumsung ‘Ultra Smart F700’ , it looks as though Apple’s iPhone will have a run for it’s money!

If these exaggerated claims hold even an iota of truth, then it would hardly be surprising that the industry’s big guns want in on the action. But until we get some sort of iPhone whipping bombshell from Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft, this Nintendo patent will remain little more than fuel to keep the fanboy guess machine ticking over. It looks like Apple found another word to attach an “i” to - iPhone. Apple’s 1984 invention - Macintosh - has changed the computer industry, in 2001 Apple shocked the music industry with their iPod, and now, in 2007 Apple is taking the phone industry to a new step. What can be smarter than smartphones - iPhones.

The cons of this device. Now not having tested a device it is really hard to criticize it. There are two major factors that are going to play in how well this phone does. Number one is the price. It weighs in at a whopping $600 with a two year Cingular contract. Ouch. That is a little much for me to pay for this device, even if it does everything I want it to do. I think Apple has priced this higher than most people will be able to afford for a device of this kind. The second problem I have with the iPhone is Cingular.

That hasn’t stopped the San Francisco Chronicle from reporting known lies, however. They say that “millions of people who are expected to buy Apple’s iPhone should consider this first: Mobile phones emit radiation, cause damage to brain tissue, and produce the kind of cancer that kills rats in laboratory experiments”. In other words, they argue that if you buy an Apple iPhone, you’re going to die of cancer.

Apple already knew that Cisco owns the trademark for iPhone. It’s been under Cisco since way back 1996. I guess when rumors about Apple going out with their own mobile phone, Cisco made its move and released a cheap VoIP phone last quarter and used their iPhone trademark. Cisco is a $176 billion dollar company so I don’t think this was about more money again.

TSteve Jobs has unveiled the LONG-anticipated iPhone at MacWorld today. The iPhone features widescreen iPod functionality with touch controls and is rumored to be a revolutionary mobile phone having breakthrough Interent communications device capabilities.
