Treo 750 Woofcast Review
Click through for the Treo 750 review from Woofcast.
Coming up later this week is the Treo 750 Review that I did with Michael Babishkin. If you are thinking about getting this phone or are just interested, be sure to check back for that. And, like I mentioned earlier, watch for an out-take show as well.

Samsung Blackjack Is Sweet
The Samsung BlackjackFor the longest time I was fairly convinced that I was going to get the Cingular 8525. It's a wonderful piece of engineering marvelness, but its hefty price tag sort of kept me from buying it, and looking back on it I'm glad. See, here's the thing: a phone such as the Cingular 8525 (or the Treo 700, etc) is a computer first, then a phone second. What I really needed is a good *phone*, one that is a phone first and computer second, but with all the features I've come to rely on from a smartphone (especially ActiveSync to sync with my hosted Exchange server for all my emails and calendar entries).

Improve Skype Video Calls
A little configuration change in Skype improves video calls.
After I port forwarded the ports used by Skype then there is a drastic improvement in the video quality of my video call. I have already written a post on how to port forward Airtel 220BX modem.

Gizmo Versus Skype
I just installed Gizmo, a free IP Phone software for PC, Linux, Mac. Nothing special really. Just that it’s not as big as Skype - both in popularity and in download - which I like. I got a bit annoyed with Skype, because of the delays, feedbacks, bad connections etc. Okay I know it all has to do with your internet connection etc, but I find it can’t be only that.

Conference Calling
If you are in charge of a conference call, here are some things you can do to make that conference call more useful for everyone.
Trust me, I've sat through my fair share of conference calls...training calls, product roll-out calls, quarterly meetings, and some extended product chit-chat sessions. There were some high points, but we all know how painful conference calls can be without some attention to detail. From these arduous hours, I've gathered seven simple ways to improve your conference calls, whether you're a host or a participant.

The Right Calling Card
Everything you want to know about finding the right phone calling card.
This is where many people get confused - or overcharged. Make sure your calling card provider lists all of the charges associated with your card (CallingCards.com has detailed information and full disclosure for each of its cards - see example). Taxes and payphone charges are mandatory fees that calling card providers can't control, so don't think your provider is ripping you off. Maintenance charges are usually imposed on high-quality cards - customer service and clear call quality aren't free.
