Kent Norman is a cognitive psychologist who directs the Laboratory for Automation Psychology and Decision Processes at the University of Maryland. He studies and teaches the cognitive aspects of human/computer interaction with the goal of understanding how to make technology user-friendly. And in his spare time he torches, smashes and chainsaws broken electronics. And to think I was merely going to take a hammer to my pair of dead Nokia phones.
