Residents of Alexandria Will Pay More On Cell Phone Tax
What keeps residents from buying their cell phones in jurisdictions without this tax?
Alexandria City Council has approved a new tax on cell phones as part of its fiscal 2006 budget. Residents will pay $3 a month on cell phone bills of more than $30. People on lower-cost plans will be charged ten percent of their monthly bill.
