Australia Starts SMS On Home Phones
SMS is very popular outside the U.S. This deployment to home phones in Australia looks promising if somewhat limited.
Swisscom ISDN subscribers (these phones come with a screen), enable users to send SMS from a land line phone to a subscriber to any of the three mobile operators, but only Swisscom mobile users are able to reply to the SMS.
